Hexcurse

Hexcurse is a curses-base hex editing utility that can open, edit, and save files, editing both the hexadecimal and decimal values. It currently supports searching, hex and decimal address output, jumping to specified locations in the file, "undo" capabilities, "bolded" modifications, EBCDIC mode, and quick keyboard shortcuts to commands.

libvterm

Based on ROTE, libvterm is a terminal emulator library which attempts to mimic both VT100 and rxvt capabilities. Although the natural display apparatus is curses, the API is simple enough to grow and adopt other mechanisms.

GNU nano

GNU nano is designed to be a free replacement for the Pico text editor, part of the Pine email suite from The University of Washington. It aims to "emulate Pico as closely as possible and then include extra functionality".

tig

Tig is an ncurses-based text-mode interface for git. It functions mainly as a Git repository browser, but can also assist in staging changes for commit at chunk level and act as a pager for output from various Git commands.
